Ashley Holloway

Ashley brings forth to the Genesis Centre a great passion for building strong, healthy communities. Her educational credentials include a diploma in nursing and she is currently working towards a Master’s Degree in Public Health, majoring in Health Systems Management. Ashley has also been a Reservist in the Canadian Armed Forces with the Calgary Highlanders for the past twelve years, and holds the rank of Master Corporal.

Ashley has been involved with many different aspects of the Canadian health care system, having worked in different acute care hospitals in Calgary as well as in education at Bow Valley College. She has also been heavily involved with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses in various capacities for the past decade, both chairing and sitting on different committees in an effort to influence the health of Albertans. She has been invited to speak at various nursing conferences in Alberta and has published in the CLPNA’s Care Magazine. Ashley currently works in the School of Health & Wellness at Bow Valley College as the Clinical Placement Officer, engaging with community stakeholders to build partnerships that enhance the education of BVC’s students in their health programmes.
