The Stampede Breakfast 2026
The Calgary Stampede is back in town, and you know what that means: a hearty breakfast, great company, and plenty of Western fun. On Friday, Genesis Centre once again welcomed the community for its annual Stampede Breakfast, bringing together families, friends, and neighbours to celebrate one of Calgary’s most cherished traditions.
Just like last year, more than 2,700 visitors joined us to enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast and take part in a morning full of festivities. This year’s event was even bigger than before, featuring 24 vendors, 50% more than last year.
Well-known organizations, including Costco, CBC, and Burnbrae Farms, were joined by a variety of local businesses and community partners. One of my favourite groups was Jugo Juice, which helped guests beat the summer heat by serving refreshing Freezes throughout the morning.
With such a wide variety of vendors in attendance, guests had the opportunity to explore local businesses, connect with community organizations, and learn about the many programs and services available throughout Calgary. Events like these not only bring people together but also showcase the incredible organizations that help strengthen our community.
Community Impact
This year’s Stampede Breakfast welcomed more than 2,700 visitors and featured 24 vendors, creating a lively morning of food, entertainment, local partnerships, and community connection.
No Stampede celebration would be complete without live entertainment, and this year’s performances certainly did not disappoint. The lively music kept the energy high all morning long, with visitors singing, dancing, and embracing the true spirit of Stampede.
Harry the Horse also made a special appearance, delighting children and families by posing for photos and creating smiles throughout the event. Another returning favourite was the petting zoo, where visitors of all ages had the chance to meet and interact with friendly farm animals.
The annual Genesis Centre Stampede Breakfast remains one of our favourite community celebrations, bringing neighbours together while supporting local businesses, organizations, and community connections.
As another successful Calgary Stampede comes to an end, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended, volunteered, and helped make this year’s event such a tremendous success. We look forward to welcoming everyone back next year for another unforgettable morning of great food, entertainment, and community spirit.
