Summer Movie Picks: Blockbusters to Catch Before the Season Ends
The summer is almost halfway over, which means there is still a month and a half of fun to enjoy. While the warm weather offers plenty of opportunities to get outside, it is also the perfect time to escape the heat and catch one of this summer’s biggest blockbuster movies.
Two of the most anticipated films of the season, The Odyssey and Evil Dead Burn, have finally arrived in theatres, earning strong reviews and generating excitement among moviegoers. Of the two, The Odyssey has captured audiences’ attention, with many recommending that it be experienced in IMAX to fully appreciate its breathtaking visuals and grand scale.
Directed by Christopher Nolan, The Odyssey reimagines the classic Greek epic as an action-packed fantasy adventure. Featuring an all-star cast, the film delivers memorable performances that bring Homer’s legendary tale to life.
One standout performance comes from Robert Pattinson as Antinous, the arrogant leader of the suitors, who serves as an excellent foil to Tom Holland’s Telemachus.
The film immerses viewers in the world of Greek mythology, allowing audiences to follow Odysseus on his perilous journey home while witnessing the many challenges, monsters, and trials he must overcome along the way.
The excitement does not stop there. The end of July also brings the return of everyone’s favourite web-slinger with Spider-Man: Brand New Day. As the long-awaited follow-up to Spider-Man: No Way Home, the film reunites fans with Peter Parker while introducing new characters and adventures.
With advance screenings and opening weekend tickets selling quickly, fans are encouraged to reserve their seats before they sell out.
