Genesis Centre’s Volunteer Program: An Opportunity to Give Back and Get Involved!
For more than 10 years now, Genesis Centre has been a staple in NE Calgary and pivotal Community Hub for the communities surrounding it. It partners with dozens of social service agencies to offer high-quality critical programs and services to millions of people annually. Additionally, it functions as a recreational facility where it engages hundreds of thousands of users annually in engaging sport & recreation leisure opportunities. Furthermore, it hosts large-scale public events on a more than weekly basis. Because of all this activity, the dedicated help of volunteers and staff are crucial to the functioning of the business.
Earlier this summer, Genesis Centre was proud to receive funding support from the Canadian Red Cross to formally establish and implement a volunteer program to its business. The intention of this program is to establish a platform to support dedicated community champions in their efforts to support community development and programming, through a formal volunteer contract with Genesis Centre.
Presently we are building the framework to support this program, while simultaneously conducting the intake of volunteers.
