SUPERTRAIN is Back and Coming Down the Track
Do you know someone who likes trains? Someone who gets excited when the crossing lights start to flash? When they hear the whistle and the clickety-clack? There’s a kid in all of us, and the place to be is the Genesis Centre on April 15 & 16, when SUPERTRAIN 2023 rolls into town.
SUPERTRAIN is Canada’s biggest and best train show, and there is something for everybody. Whether it is Thomas the Train or Lego, Lionel trains or finely detailed scale models, everyone in the family will find something to delight them. Not only are there miniature trains, but big trains too. Canadian Pacific’s popular mini-train will be on site. Almost 100 exhibitors will impress you with new exhibits, spectacular displays, and a fun, affordable day out for the whole family!
Joining the exhibitors will be face painting, a henna tattoo artist, story-book reading, and a children’s play area with large Thomas and Lego tables free and waiting to be enjoyed! Many of the layouts will let the kids take the throttle and run a train themselves. Exhibitors will be happy to share advice on how to get started in model railroading yourself. Learn about Calgary’s CTrain system or the many museums and historical associations that celebrate the trains of days gone by.
SUPERTRAIN has been showcasing everything about trains for over 25 years, and this year it is back, better than ever. Hobby shops, manufacturers, vendors, and enthusiasts from all over North America combine to share their passion with you. And if all this makes you hungry, 8 food trucks will be there to satisfy your appetite.
There is free parking at the Genesis Centre, or forget your car and just take the CTrain to SUPERTRAIN. It’s a short walk from the Saddletowne station.
Adult admission is $15 and children aged 15 years and younger get in for FREE! Doors open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm both Saturday and Sunday.
